KGRI Research Centers

KGRI Research Centers were established to promote organic, university-wide collaboration among multiple researchers across undergraduate faculties and graduate schools, with the aim of conducting leading, cross-disciplinary, and comprehensive research education at Keio University.

Main features of KGRI Research Centers:

Formation of a leading, cross-disciplinary, and comprehensive research center that leverages the strengths of a comprehensive university
Facilitation of cross-disciplinary research activities across undergraduate faculties and graduate schools among researchers who share a common research theme
Establishment of new research fields beyond existing frameworks
Collaboration with research and educational institutions in Japan and abroad
Appointment of talented personnel as project faculty members and visiting researchers
Provision of ample opportunities for educational and talent exchange
Organizational structure that is well-suited for dynamic research fields
Autonomous administration
Smooth closing upon completion of research objectives (dissolution followed by reorganization, independence, or establishment of a new permanent research organization will be considered)

The preliminary phase of the KGRI research centers comprises research plans and activities aiming for a full-scale establishment.
