KGRI Research Centers
KGRI Research Centers were established to promote organic, university-wide collaboration among multiple researchers across undergraduate faculties and graduate schools, with the aim of conducting leading, cross-disciplinary, and comprehensive research education at Keio University.
Main features of KGRI Research Centers:
- Formation of a leading, cross-disciplinary, and comprehensive research center that leverages the strengths of a comprehensive university
- Facilitation of cross-disciplinary research activities across undergraduate faculties and graduate schools among researchers who share a common research theme
- Establishment of new research fields beyond existing frameworks
- Collaboration with research and educational institutions in Japan and abroad
- Appointment of talented personnel as project faculty members and visiting researchers
- Provision of ample opportunities for educational and talent exchange
- Organizational structure that is well-suited for dynamic research fields
- Autonomous administration
- Smooth closing upon completion of research objectives (dissolution followed by reorganization, independence, or establishment of a new permanent research organization will be considered)
※Start-up Center(SU):
The preliminary phase of the KGRI research centers comprises research plans and activities aiming for a full-scale establishment.
