Mobility Culture Research Center

Summary

The center is conducting research for new mobility that enables safe, secure, convenient, and green transportation based on the advanced technologies and infrastructure. There can be many possible solutions to the current complex mobility problems as seen in the emerging Mobile as a Service (MaaS) and shared economy. Many elements including objectives, stakeholders, and regions should be considered. The topics of research and activities include the following:
(1) Information communication systems for advanced vehicles and transportation
(2) Fundamental research on connected automated driving
(3) Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and road management
(4) Cross-cutting research on Internet of Things (IoT)
(5) International standardization activities.
