KGRI Research Centers

KGRI Research Centers were established to promote organic, university-wide collaboration among multiple researchers across undergraduate faculties and graduate schools, with the aim of conducting leading, cross-disciplinary, and comprehensive research education at Keio University.

Main features of KGRI Research Centers:

  • Formation of a leading, cross-disciplinary, and comprehensive research center that leverages the strengths of a comprehensive university
  • Facilitation of cross-disciplinary research activities across undergraduate faculties and graduate schools among researchers who share a common research theme
  • Establishment of new research fields beyond existing frameworks
  • Collaboration with research and educational institutions in Japan and abroad
  • Appointment of talented personnel as project faculty members and visiting researchers
  • Provision of ample opportunities for educational and talent exchange
  • Organizational structure that is well-suited for dynamic research fields
  • Autonomous administration
  • Smooth closing upon completion of research objectives (dissolution followed by reorganization, independence, or establishment of a new permanent research organization will be considered)
