Challenge Grant: Developing Mathematical Approaches to Elucidate Biological Events
Creativity
Summary

The development of science and technology, including imaging technology and single cell analysis, has made it possible to capture various life phenomena at high speed and high resolution. Until now, life phenomena have been analyzed by converting them into simplified mathematical formulas, but in collaboration with OIST, we will attempt to convert increasingly complex life phenomena into mathematical formulas from a new perspective. Furthermore, we will build a platform to find clues to solving new social problems by analyzing the similarities and dissimilarities between the mathematical formulas obtained from these life phenomena and various social problems.
