KGRI Research Projects for New Coronavirus Crisis: Establishment of Prediction Formula for Acute Exacerbation of COVID-19

Security

Summary

Ishii

Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a global threat. Its characteristic is that it rapidly deteriorates and becomes severe. To date, it has been reported that older age, patients with certain underlying disease such as high blood pressure and diabetes, and higher various blood biomarkers are the risk factors for its acute exacerbation. However, there are no reports which integrate and analyze these risk factors. In the present study, we are going to establish "Corona virus severity prediction system" by building a prediction formula for the likelihood of exacerbation in a medical-engineering collaboration.
