Summary of the event:
Keio University Cyber Civilization Research Center and Columbia University SIPA are co-organizing another enlightening conversation on cybersecurity and digital economy issues in the context of US-Japan relations. The event features a keynote speech from Ms. Nakamitsu Izumi, UN Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs. The event will include panel discussions on each of the four areas identified for exploration by Dialogue members: Cyber Norms and Measurement, Digital Free Flow with Trust, Fostering Digital Innovation and the Human Element of Cyber Crisis Management. These discussions will form the basis for on-going Dialogue working groups in each area.
This event is part of the US-Japan Cyber Dialogue initiated by Columbia SIPA and Keio University Cyber Civilization Research Center. Through quarterly meetings and four working groups, the Dialogue explores policy options for improving US-Japan cyber cooperation and fostering digital free trade with trust. We thank the Japan Society for their generous support.
