Globalization and technological advancements are changing the way in the handling medical and healthcare data. With an increasing number of enterprises interested in developing services using sensitive medical and healthcare data, it is important to raise awareness on this subject and look into the existing policy structures that focus on such issues. In the workshop, we invite experts from OPERA at Japan Science and Technology Agency, Cyber Civilization Research Center, Medical School and Law School at Keio University, to discuss trends and forecasts regarding the development of medical and healthcare data from the perspectives of law and the societal impacts, domestically and internationally.
