China-Japan-Korea Track 2 Dialogue for Cybersecurity Held at KGRI
2019.02.18On November 1, 2018, the third China-Japan-Korea Track 2 Dialogue for Cybersecurity was held at the Keio Global Research Institute (KGRI). In addition to KGRI, the event saw the participation of experts from research institutes and internet corporations including Microsoft Japan Co. Ltd., China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), Zhongguancun Cyberspace Affairs Industry Alliance, Korea University, the Korean Institute of Criminology, and the National Security Research Institute (NSRI). Together, they discussed developments in cyber-legislation in the three countries, global developments in the domain of cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, cyber incident responses, and issues such as the cybersecurity relationship of Japan, China, and Korea. The event was also attended by delegates from the National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
Keio University, CIIS, and Korea University together launched the China-Japan-Korea Track 2 Dialogue for Cybersecurity at KGRI in 2016 as a platform for critical dialogue to be hosted in rotation annually in Japan, China, and Korea. The first round of the dialogue was held at Korea University, Seoul, in 2016 with the second held at the CIIS in Beijing in 2017.
