Keio Global Research Institute (KGRI) enters into collaboration agreement with Cornell University's Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies (Einaudi Center)

On February 13, the Keio Global Research Institute (KGRI), and Cornell University's Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies (Einaudi Center) joined forces to conclude a collaboration agreement focusing primarily on joint research on cyberspace. KGRI Director Keigo Komamura visited the Einaudi Center with Vice-President Jiro Kokuryo and both signed an agreement with the center's director Professor Hirokasu Miyazaki, while also being interviewed by a Cornell University public relations team (See below website.)
CORNELL CHRONICLE

The current collaboration had as its kick-off project a preliminary two-day workshop hosted at Cornell University's ILR Conference Center and titled "Surveillance, Privacy and Civil Society," on February 12 and 13. At this workshop, Professors from Cornell University, notably Fred B. Schneider, an expert in computer science, and Rebecca Slayton, an expert on technology history, as well as foremost authorities in the field from throughout the US took part and helped to ensure lively discussions developed. The Keio delegation was made up of Professors Takehiro Oya (Faculty of Law), Tatsuhiko Yamamoto (Keio University Law School), Assistant Professor Kunifumi Saito (SFC), in addition to KGRI Director Komamura and Keio Vice-President Kokuryo, each of whom delivered presentations.
